Pregnancy Decision Counselling

Decision making around an unplanned pregnancy is often difficult. For many women an unplanned pregnancy can be one of the first times that they have to deal with a decision about their health and the course of their future.

If you are experiencing an unwanted pregnancy and want to talk to someone before you make a decision you can make an appointment for decision counselling only.

An experienced, knowledgeable and non-judgmental counselor will help you look at your life situation, your values and practices and those of others in your life, career, relationship, spiritual, and religious concerns.

You will be offered printed resources to read and take with you to assist you in making your decision.

Preoperative Abortion Counselling

Anyone who comes to our clinic for an abortion (medical or surgical) will meet with the counsellor before the procedure.

The counsellor will try to make sure that you are voluntarily choosing to have an abortion based on accurate information.

She will explain the procedure and discuss birth control options any concerns you may have.

After the informative counseling you will be taken to the pre operative area to change in an examination gown and be seated in the pre-operative waiting room.

A registered nurse will take you to the operating room where an ultrasound will be performed to determine the length of your pregnancy.

Post Pregnancy Termination / Miscarriage  D&C Counselling

Chances are you will feel a sense of relief after your procedure because you have made difficult decision about your life and you have tolerated the procedure well.

In the days and weeks that follow you may experience a sense of loss or feeling of sadness and anger, this is totally natural and it helps if you can share this feelings with someone close to you.

If you experience any emotional distress following your abortion /D&C please call our clinic to talk to our counsellor.

You matter and we are just phone call away, do not hesitated to contact us.

  • review rating 4  I'm giving 4 stars because the wait was longer than expected and wasn't stated when I made the appointment. Another reason for the wait is that I underwent preparation for a second trimester abortion. The three nurses are kind enough but I did find a bit of gruffess with two of the nurses. I was at 14 weeks and my appointment took about 7 to 8 hours because I did not wish to return for 2 day appointment. You will feel discomfort. If you are used to bad period cramps you might not experience much pain at all. I felt more pain after the procedure in the next couple days. Your partner can be in the waiting room but that is it. So prepare yourself for that. You may have emotional pain as I do now. Know that that is okay. This review is lengthy but I wanted to help anyone making this decision. Good luck and I hope you are supported.

  • review rating 5  Thanks to all the nurses specially to the doctor!!! He was very nice and caring... The only problem I had was when I walked in the office for my appointment. The receptionist were very rude! Whatever move you make they would speak to you so rudely and they act like you have some kind of disease! I didn’t appreciate their service! Lastly when I was done with my appointment I said Thank You, and I got no reply back!!! I was already nervous about my procedure and when I walked in I got rude replies which made me more stressed but when I met the nurses and the doctor they made me feel welcome! Lastly, The nurses and the doctor was very caring and polite! Thanks so much!!! I highly recommend this place! 😀

  • review rating 5  Be prepared to wait a bit longer than expected and wear something comfortable. The nurses that you see when you go in for the procedure are really nice to you and they try their best to make sure you have an easy and safe experience. The nurse that is in the recovery room is extremely nice! She’s always checking on you to make sure you are good and has a down to earth personality. My experience here was easy and good. I felt like I was treated with respect and care.

  • review rating 5  Very kind non judgemental staff who comforted me after process was done and made a frightening/painful experience (for me) better. During initial consultation they asked once if you had enough time to consider all options so giving the opportunity to back out if you aren’t sure. As for ppl saying receptionist is rude maybe don’t try to go in a waiting room if you aren’t getting anything done during A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. My ride home waited downstairs it’s not a big deal ?!
